Businessman Raj Kundra recently spoke about the emotional toll that his son Viaan’s incarceration during his legal issues stemming from a pornographic case in 2021 had on his family. According to Kundra, their 10-year-old kid had to be told by Shilpa Shetty about the circumstances and given the assurance that his father will come back when he provided the answers to the queries.

Though initially strong, Viaan had a heartbreaking moment on September 9, 2021, Kundra’s 47th birthday, sobbing as he stated his desire for his father to return.
Kundra said to the Hindustan Times that Viaan, who saw him as a hero, found it difficult to understand and thought it was all just a terrible dream. The businessman, who was imprisoned for over two months before being released on bond, spoke about the difficult conditions and vulnerabilities that come with being a prisoner. Kundra underscored the challenge of maintaining poise while incarcerated, revealing that his son’s poignant notes and illustrations found their way to him during this arduous phase.

Raj Kundra wrote to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in 2022, requesting a thorough investigation into the allegation. Kundra subsequently declared his innocence and said the case was the consequence of a “personal vendetta.” He said that a businessman and police officials had conspired to frame him, emphasizing that top Mumbai Crime Branch personnel were responsible for the setup. The court drama carries on as Kundra refutes the accusations and maintains his innocence.
