Rashmika Mandanna Demands Quick Responses to GoViral Deepfake Videos: “Very Terrifying”

In response to a rumored altered video of herself that went viral on social media, actress Rashmika Mandanna termed it “very scary” and said that as a society we need to take immediate action to stop identity theft before other people are impacted.

Rashmika sent a lengthy message on social media expressing her intense disapproval of the widely circulated deepfake video of herself, saying, “I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online.” I must admit that anything like this really terrifies me, as does every other person who is now so exposed to danger due to the abuse of technology.”

Earlier in the day, ‘Goodbye’ co-star Amitabh Bachchan spoke up for Rashmika and called for legal action to be taken against her.

‘Piku’ actor responded, “Yes this is a strong case,” to a user’s post on X noting the purported exploitation of the video.
