Reacting to Keanu Reeves’ revelation that he once wore her playboy costume, Dolly Parton

Before Keanu Reeves became an actor, singer-songwriter Dolly Parton remembered their encounter and reacted by mentioning that he had previously worn one of her famous Halloween costumes.

She discussed her relationship with the 59-year-old actor earlier this week on the “Drew Barrymore Show,” according to Mirror.co.uk.

She spoke about how Patricia Taylor, Keanu’s mother, worked for her as a costume designer many years ago.

She said that Patricia had even contributed to the 1978 Playboy cover costume that Dolly wore, which she has since replicated. The magazine included a black bustier, bowtie, and rabbit ears as part of the ensemble.

Dolly said to presenter Drew Barrymore, 48, during the interview on Monday, according to Mirror.co.uk: “She did a lot of sewing for me.” She made several of my outfits.” Because of her relationship with Keanu’s mother Patricia, she continued to remember having met him when he was younger.

“I remember Keanu when he was just little and she would bring him over to my house when we were (doing a) fitting,” the Grammy Award winner said. Dolly hinted that she had seen him in the designer’s store as well.

According to Mirror.co.uk, Dolly went on to say that years before, Keanu had contacted her during a performance. He was well-known by then, according to her, and she shared: “(He) said, ‘Do you remember me? I’m the little child who used to watch you while my mother worked.”

She said, “I knew he had become a star, but it didn’t connect to me that that was who that was,” this week on the talk program. Later, Dolly called Keanu “amazing” and that he was “the sweetest guy.”

“I heard that he actually wore [the costume] for Halloween one year,” Drew said. He said that this particular costume is his best Halloween wear ever, having worn it himself.” Dolly said, looking surprised: “Oh no, did he? That’s very nice.
