Regarding His Character In “Bambai Meri Jaan,” Saurabh Sachdeva says: It’s a position that oozes authority and power

Actor and acting coach Saurabh Sachdeva, who is well-known for his outstanding performances in such films as “Vadh,” “Good Luck Jerry,” “Sacred Games,” “Taish,” and “Manmarziyaan,” among others, is getting ready to enthrall viewers with his outstanding performance in the eagerly awaited crime drama “Bambai Meri Jaan” on Amazon Prime. Under the great direction of Shujaat Saudagar, Saurabh will play mafia don Haji Maqbool in this series, co-starring on-screen alongside Kay Kay Menon, Avinash Tiwary, Kritika Kamra, and Amyra Dastur.

He explains his persona to us, saying, “I was truly excited by the part owing of the character’s intriguing trajectory. His egotistical tendencies and conviction that he has total authority make for an interesting story. The experience of seeing his identity change and develop promises to be thrilling. It is amazing to watch how his ego collapses and his path is subsequently redirected. He disregards any emotional commitments in favor of just maintaining business relationships. His powerful presence is enhanced by the character’s unshakeable self-reliance. It is undeniably a position that emanates authority and power.

The director chose me for this part based on the power of my commanding voice, the actor says while discussing how he prepared for the role. Undoubtedly, it wasn’t always easy to get our ideas for the character to coincide. He pictured a calm, collected, and dignified demeanor; initially, I tried to be more ostentatious. But the director suggested that I combine all the desirable traits. We also had seminars and reading sessions that were really helpful to me in getting ready for this position.

In addition, while talking about his experience working on the program, he says, “At first, I had difficulties since director Shujaat is a taskmaster and our views weren’t compatible. But during the lockdown, we had the chance to spend time developing the persona. When we started shooting again, we discovered that our energies matched. My connection with my director has always been complicated but interesting, which has given our partnership a dynamic quality.

“Kay Kay sir is widely recognized as an exceptional actor, renowned for his outstanding performances,” he says, describing his experience working alongside his co-stars in the series. I’ve known Avinash since he was one of my students back in 2015, and I’ve seen the wonderful trip he’s been on firsthand. He has gained a lot of recognition as a very talented performer. Avinash continuously exuded confidence and never seemed scared by the idea that I was his instructor throughout our shared sequences, when our characters engage in strong face-to-face exchanges. His interpretation of my role was excellent, and it worked well. The power dynamics between us were clearly seen in the dynamic.

In reference to the USP of the program, he claims, “The writing style and direction of the material is genuinely amazing, acting as its unique selling point. Although it can seem to be a mobster drama, it really explores family issues. Audiences will be successfully transported to a bygone age by the superb style and cinematography used, creating a profound impact.

The movie “Bambai Meri Jaan” will debut on September 14, 2023.
