When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan spoke about her spontaneous “roka” ceremony with Abhishek Bachchan, she said that the Bachchan family was so excited that they couldn’t wait for her father to get home.

Aishwarya spoke warmly of the impromptu style of her and Abhishek’s “roka” ceremony after his proposal in an interview with Famously Filmfare. Before getting married, Aishwarya, who is from South India, had never heard of the notion; Abhishek had told her they would be visiting.
Her father was out of town when Abhishek Bachchan, along with his parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, got ready to visit Aishwarya at her house. Their ‘roka’ happened as her father was speaking with them on the phone, according to 50-year-old Aishwarya.

Aishwarya went on to clarify, saying that she was confused about the whole thing and turned to face her mother, Brinda Rai, to ask whether she had gotten engaged to Abhishek. She and her mother were completely oblivious to the events, whereas the Bachchans were regarded as emotional throughout them.
In 2007, Aishwarya and Abhishek tied the knot. Aaradhya Bachchan, their daughter, is their child.
