Rupali Ganguly honors co-star Rituraj Singh of “Anupamaa”

Actress Rupali Ganguly lamented the passing of her co-star Rituraj Singh from “Anupamaa,” referring to him as a “legend of television.”

She said that people will always remember his life tales, peculiar sense of humor, vast knowledge of international film, and skill.

In the early hours of Tuesday, Rituraj,59, died suddenly after cardiac arrest. He portrayed Yashpal Dhillon, the proprietor of the eatery “Spice and Chutney.” He was Anupamaa’s (Rupali’s) supervisor.

Rupali posted a collection of images on Instagram showing Rituraj standing in a kitchen and donning a chef’s hat.

In a lengthy letter, she wrote: “Dear Rituraj Sir, It was a privilege to have you on my screen. I felt ecstatic, like an eager student learning her favorite topic from a master who had instructed many others.You said that you had seen my work, but I still wanted to show you that I was deserving of a spot in the frame beside a television icon that I had grown up watching. Your wise grin after our scenes and your encouraging remarks seemed to me like a report card. Your lovely words pleased me. but Sir, there was still so much more to learn.

“These photos I had taken of you in the chef cap…” I didn’t email it to you right away. I never imagined that they would be displayed here as a memorial.The actress known for “Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai” said, “Your life stories, quirky sense of humor, immense knowledge about world cinema, and your talent shall always be remembered.”

“Thank you for being Yashpal Sir to my Anupamaa,” Rupali said.I am grateful for the words you said that will never fade. Rupali Om Shanti, may you find serenity.

After being brought to the hospital due to a stomach ailment, Rituraj was released. But things became worse for him, and he had a heart attack that ultimately caused his death.
