Shruti Haasan expresses her affection for gritty heavy metal songs

Shruti Haasan, an actress and singer, was headbanging to Djent, a progressive metal genre that uses downtuned eight-string guitars, and raising the devil horns, demonstrating her insatiable appetite for heavy metal.

The actress has previously shown her appreciation for gritty, heavy metal music by listening to bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Anthrax while working out.

Shruti was amazed by the band’s extraordinary ability, their many rhythmic shifts, and the enormous chugging of the guitars before they launched into their highly complicated solos. The band sounded like an English progressive metal band, Tesseract.

She may like rock and metal above other genres, but she doesn’t discount other genres. In fact, the actress was recently seen having a fantastic time at a 50 cent concert.

She has also sang a few songs herself and has a strong affection for movie soundtracks, all the while trying to broaden her own musical tastes.

As she gets ready for the much awaited Prashanth Neel movie, Shruti will next be seen on screen with the legendary Prabhas in the Telugu action movie “Salaar Part 1- Ceasefire,” which opens on December 22.
