Super Bowl Teaser for Deadpool and Wolverine Revealed; Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman Prepared to “Change” the MCU

At the Super Bowl in 2024, the first official trailer for Deadpool 3 was shown, with the promise that it will alter the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The trailer for the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman film has revealed that Deadpool 3 will now be known as Deadpool & Wolverine. Along with introducing Deadpool and Wolverine in the context of the current MCU storyline, the teaser also pays homage to the characters who helped create the Deadpool series. Finally, the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine mentions the X-Men.

The original Deadpool cast is seen in the teaser celebrating Wade Wilson’s birthday when he receives an unexpected guest. The TVA greets Wade upon opening the door—an epic reference to Loki. The next scene shows him sitting in front of Matthew Macfadyen’s character, Paradox. Deadpool receives an invitation from Paradox to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he may see Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, and other former Marvel Studios superheroes.

Before Hugh Jackman’s Logan, nicknamed Wolverine, enters, Reynolds’s Deadpool quips delightfully that he is Marvel’s “Jesus,” setting the stage for many X-Men allusions and a jab at Nick Fury. Watch this trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine, which was unveiled during the 2024 Super Bowl:

Deadpool & Wolverine is the official name of Deadpool 3. In addition to being verified in the teaser, Hugh and Ryan also offered intriguing posters that supported the name. There is a half-and-half locket on the poster. The Deadpool logo is on one side, while Wolverine is on the other. The locket is etched with the words “Best Friends.” “Best” is a reach, Hugh said, sharing the poster. “Friends” are also in this category.”

“Wait till you see the Deadpool popcorn bucket,” Ryan posted beside the same graphic on Instagram. The release date of Deadpool & Wolverine is set for July 26. Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, and Jennifer Garner have significant parts in Shawn Levy’s film.
