The premiere date of Suho’s new historical drama, Missing Crown Prince, has been postponed

The debut date of the forthcoming historical Korean drama Missing Crown Prince, which stars Suho from the well-known K-pop group EXO, has been postponed. The show, which was initially scheduled to debut on March 9, has been pushed back five weeks, with a new launch date of the second week of April. The production team decided to go on with the debut date. The crew asked for the audience’s patience and support until the new debut date, expressing their desire to provide them with the greatest production and a well-crafted story.

“We decided to delay the premiere of ‘Missing Crown Prince’ in order to deliver a well-developed and flawless story,” said the official statement from production firm MBN. We will welcome you with a presentation of the highest caliber and a painstakingly produced tale after extensive preparations. Please mark your calendars on April 13 at 9:40 p.m. KST, when “Missing Crown Prince” will debut, according to Soompi.

The narrative of Missing Crown Prince centers on Crown Prince Lee Geon and Choi Myung Yoon, the lady who would become his wife, amid the background of the Joseon Dynasty. Romance blossoms between them as they run for their lives, giving spectators a charming glimpse into a developing love story amid the turmoil of pre-war Korea.

According to Soompi, Missing Crown Prince is a spin-off of Bossam: Steal the Fate, which now holds the record for greatest viewing ratings on MBN.

Together with Suho, the drama has a remarkable ensemble that includes Kim Min Kyu as Grand Prince Doseong, Yoo Se Rye as Queen Yoon, Myung Se Bin as Queen Min Soo Ryun, Kim Jo Hun as Choi Sang Rok, and Hong Ye Ji, who rose to popularity in the 2022 film 2037. It is anticipated that the remarkable ensemble would provide nuance and genuineness to the story of Missing Crown Prince.

Kim Ji Soo and Park Chul are the authors behind the drama’s script, while Kim Jin Man—best known for his work on Kill Me, Heal Me (2015)—is directing the historical piece. Early in 2023, Mungyeong City and the production organizations Superbook Co. Ltd. and Chorokbaem Media worked together to shoot the historical drama Missing Crown Prince.

Fans and internet users are eager to witness Suho as Crown Prince Lee Geon in Missing Crown Prince, even with the postponement of the debut date.
