Warning shots: Lawrence Bishnoi’s “ops” continue unabatedly from Gippy Grewal to Salman Khan

The shooting incident that occurred recently at the Mumbai home of legendary Bollywood star Salman Khan has brought the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate’s operations back into the public eye and raised concerns about their growing power and apparent lack of control over their operations.

Anmol Bishnoi, a syndicate member and the cousin of criminal Lawrence Bishnoi, who is now serving a prison sentence, has taken credit for the assault.

The Bishnoi organization also claimed credit for the November shooting incident at Punjabi artist Gippy Grewal’s home in Vancouver, Canada’s White Rock neighborhood, last year.

Lawrance Bishnoi revealed his personal participation in the planned assault via a Facebook account.

He addressed Grewal directly in the tweet, saying in Punjabi, “Even though you consider Salman Khan to be a brother, it is now necessary for your ‘brother’ to intervene and save you.” Salman Khan is also included in this message: Do not believe Dawood or anybody else can rescue you from us. We were not unaware of your passionate response to Sidhu Moose Wala’s passing. We are well aware of the kind of guy he was and the unofficial relationships he had.

You were really close to Vicky while he was in Middukhera, and you later exhibited even more grief for Sidhu. You are currently being examined by us. Think of this as a preview; the whole story will be revealed shortly. You are welcome to seek safety in any nation, but remember that death does not need a visa since it comes as an unexpected visitor.

A Canadian thug named Goldy Brar claimed credit for the assassination of well-known Punjabi singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moose Wala in May 2022, only hours after the singer’s death. In relation to the murder, Lawrence Bishnoi’s name has also gained attention.

On August 7, 2021, a leader of the Youth Akali Dal named Vikramjit Singh Middukhera, also known as Vicky Middukhera, 33, was shot and killed. Moose Wala was accused of ordering his manager Shagunpreet Singh, to carry out the murder. The assertions haven’t been validated yet, however.

Official sources claim that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is still active in northern India, namely in the states of Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab, even after being put behind prison.

They also have worldwide reach, reaching nations like Dubai, the Philippines, Italy, Armenia, Canada, America, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Turkey. These gangs use social media to show off their power and attract millions of followers, which encourages more young people to join them in this day and age.

One of the key connections of the syndicate is the relationship between Lawrence Bishnoi and Sandeep, also known as Kala Jathedi, the infamous criminal from Haryana. Other important participants in this collaboration include Rajkumar, also known as Raju Basodi, Rohit Godara, Naresh Sethi, and Anil Chhippi.

When bullets were fired at a real estate businessman’s office on Sunday in Dwarka, the national capital, it was more evidence of the frightening scope of the syndicate’s activities.

The assailants, who are allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, left a message requesting a substantial payment of Rs one crore as “protection money.” According to preliminary investigations, the assault implicated known Bishnoi affiliates Naresh Sethi and Ajay Zaildar, two incarcerated criminals.

The attackers’ method of operation was typical of gangland strategies. After parking their motorbike across from the target’s workplace, two gang members crossed the street and started shooting, damaging the building. They left a menacing letter after that and fled the area.

Sube Gujjar from Gurugram and Anandpal Singh from Rajasthan are two more criminals with whom the Lawrence Bishnoi and Kala Jathedi coalition has partnered. They have also allied themselves with Jitender Gogi, whose murder was masterminded by rival mafia figure Tillu Tajpuria.

One noteworthy tactic these gangs use to maintain control over territory and solidify power is to take advantage of tensions between other gangs and develop short-term partnerships.

According to the charge sheet filed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in court, Lawrence Bishnoi did not speak with any shooters directly; instead, he used his close friends, Anmol Bishnoi and Satinderjit Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, to influence them.

The NIA added that their research had shown that the gang members were given varied responsibilities and that the division of labor used to be well planned. Darmanjot Kahlon, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, Goldy Brar, and Lawrence Bishnoi made the majority of the decisions on finance.

“Bishnoi was purposefully overseeing every aspect of the business from behind the prison. He didn’t even ask for bail since he was so skilled at working from within the prison. The charge sheet also disclosed that a sizeable portion of the proceeds from extortion activities were transferred to the US, Canada, Dubai, Thailand, and Australia for the benefit of their international associates and family members as well as to finance the actions of extremists who support Khalistan.

The NIA has also said that the primary operations of this terror syndicate included abduction, murder, extortion for ransom, the cross-border smuggling of sophisticated weaponry and drugs, the in-land smuggling of contraband, and the illegal smuggling of alcohol.
