Why doesn’t Anurag Kashyap want to collaborate with Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan?

Anurag Kashyap, the director, has never shied away from discussing the box office struggles his movies face. Anurag recently did an interview in which he explained why he never sought to appear in a film with Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan. He said that huge celebrities are challenging to experiment with because of the magnitude of their fan bases.

“Even though I came to this country to produce films, there was a time when I caved in to my inclination to pursue celebrities. As they saw me at work, everyone kept exclaiming, “Imagine what you will do with stars.” Kashyap said, “That’s when the tide turns the other way and the slide starts,” in a talk with Puja Talwar.

If you don’t work with a celebrity while courting their fan base, they’ll fire you. In addition, my movie was really canceled since I was producing it myself. He said, “I don’t cater to anyone’s friends or fan following.

Anurag continued by claiming that Indian fans are devoted and that Shah Rukh or Salman could never ignore them. Even when they are experimenting or having fun, they give their choices a lot of consideration because they know that their fan groups would retaliate harshly if they are insulted. They go after everyone. After Tubelight, Salman Khan’s fans allegedly went to Kabir Khan as a director.

Kashyap also addressed “hero-worshipping” and how it limits performers’ capacity for creativity.

In a separate interview, Anurag Kashyap praised Alia Bhatt and stated his wish to work with her. He said that he would be pleased to work with Alia given that he makes low-budget movies.

“I think Alia is one of the best actresses in the country, and I always contact her after watching her perform. However, I don’t say anything when I disagree with anything she’s done. I would like working with her if it doesn’t affect the budget and the dynamics of my project, but it also has to come from the other side,” he stated to Zoom Entertainment.
