Five foods to avoid bad breath for oral hygiene

Bad breath, a common dental problem, is characterized by an unpleasant odor originating from the mouth. A few of the reasons of foul breath include poor dental hygiene, bacterial overgrowth on the tongue, gum disorders, and certain medical conditions. Eating meals that include ingredients like garlic and onions may briefly cause bad breath.

To address bad breath, it is usually required to maintain a regular dental care routine, which includes regularly brushing and flossing your teeth, using mouthwash, and drinking enough of water. Onions and Garlic

Garlic and onions are two foods that may cause halitosis, or foul breath. Garlic and onions have strong sulfur compounds that stay in your mouth for a very long period.

Pickles

Although it may seem counterintuitive, in this instance the effort isn’t being put out by the pickle. Pickle brine usually contains the antibacterial ingredients dill and vinegar. Take a few pickles as an accompaniment or pucker up for some brine.

Alcohol

Beverages with a high sulfur concentration have a foul smell and cause bad breath. Alcohol obviously produces bad breath since it includes sulfur, which is not unexpected. Additionally, drinking drastically dehydrates your mouth.

Fish in Cans

While canned tuna or salmon make a delightful lunch alternative, they aren’t the greatest for avoiding bad breath or maintaining fresh breath. While being packed and preserved in a can, the fish starts to oxidize, giving off an unpleasant stench.

Tea and Coffee

After consuming tea or coffee, your mouth gets dry, which decreases the amount of saliva produced. Their distinctive aroma causes foul breath since it remains in the mouth for a long.
