Attack planners on May 9, 2023, will face “no compromise,” according to the head of the Pakistan Army

May 10, Islamabad, Pakistan: According to ARY News, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, described the assaults on military installations on May 9, 2023, as a “dark chapter in our history” and said that there can be no compromise with those responsible.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief addressed these remarks to the commanders and troops of the garrison at Corps Headquarters in Lahore.

It was on May 9, 2023, when ‘deliberately brainwashed and insidiously directed miscreants’ assaulted the emblems of the state, a day that General Syed Asim Munir said would go down in Pakistani history.

“These heinous acts of criminally planned violence gave Pakistan’s adversaries a platform to make fun of the government and people. According to ARY News, COAS expressed his displeasure that the same conspirators were now blatantly and shamelessly attempting to manipulate the story and link the government to this heinous endeavor.

Remarkably, ‘PTI workers’ stormed military posts during the May 9 riots in response to the imprisonment of Imran Khan, the former prime minister.

The Army Chief made it clear that anyone who staged a show of victimization and identified as “real leaders” would be held accountable for their deeds, particularly if there was clear evidence of their participation in and cooperation with organized crime and sabotage.

“Our patience not to respond to daily provocations in this regard made in brazen violation of the constitution has limits and it must never be misconstrued as weakness,” warned the Army Chief of Staff.
