Gaza Ceasefire Deal Is “In Hamas’s Hands,” According to Joe Biden As Ramadan Approaches

Washington: US President Joe Biden said on Tuesday that Hamas controls the outcome of a ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip and the release of Israeli detainees. As delegates begin their third day of meetings, nothing has changed despite continuous conversations. In order to secure a 40-day truce between Hamas and Israel before the start of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan next week, negotiators from Hamas, Qatar, and Egypt are now in Cairo.

A thorough list of all the hostages held in Gaza, as well as an increase in assistance to avert starvation, particularly among undernourished children, are included in the proposed compromise with Hamas. Additionally, some of the captives captured during the October raid that started the crisis will be released. Osama Hamdan and other Hamas leaders in Beirut, however, restated the organization’s main objectives, which include an immediate end to the Israeli military onslaught, the evacuation of Israeli soldiers, and the repatriation of Gazans who have been evacuated to their homes.

Since Hamas considers the ceasefire to be a vital first step in ending the fighting, they maintain that any prisoner swap must take place after it. However, Israel’s main priorities are to provide more supplies and free prisoners from Gaza during a brief cessation of hostilities. According to Israel, the war won’t end until Hamas is no longer a danger.

The primary political and military supporter of Israel, Washington, which also sponsored the negotiations, placed the blame firmly on Gaza’s leaders. Right now, Hamas is in control of it. The Israelites have been helpful. A reasonable offer has been made, Biden told reporters.

“It’s going to be very dangerous if we get to the situation where it [fighting] continues into Ramadan.”

Recently, when questioned about his relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Biden said, “Like it’s always been,” according to The Times of Israel. When questioned about whether he’s putting pressure on Israel to let more supplies into Gaza, Biden said, “I’m working with them very hard.” More assistance needs to be sent to Gaza. There are no justifications. None at all.

Following the October 7 raid by Hamas, in which over 2,500 terrorists crossed the border into Israel from the Gaza Strip and took hostages, the situation in Gaza worsened. According to Israel, the Gaza onslaught aims to destroy Hamas’ infrastructure in order to eradicate the terrorist organization as a whole, with the least number of civilian deaths possible.

As of right now, the Israeli Defense Forces claim to have destroyed Islamic Jihad militants who were launching rockets toward Kibbutz Be’eri and Kibbutz Hatzerim, but combat is still going on in Gaza.

With the help of tanks, aerial fire, and snipers, fifteen terrorists were taken out. Additionally, IDF soldiers destroyed terrorists operating out of Western Khan Younis’ residential districts and hit terrorist objectives.

Leaders have every reason to seal a deal before Ramadan, since Palestinian-Israeli violence in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory frequently peaks around this time, as does anti-Israel sentiment in the Arab and Muslim world.
