Pakistan: Imran Khan’s party leader claims that the Sharif family is “afraid” of prisoner 804

QUETTA: According to Geo News, Omar Ayub, the leader of the opposition in Pakistan’s National Assembly, said that the Sharif family was “afraid” of prisoner number 804, who is the former prime minister of the nation and chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday in Quetta, Ayub said that the PTI has concentrated on increasing public awareness and declared that his party will become the next government if the existing governments are dissolved. Furthermore, he said, the supremacy of the law and the constitution was what the PTI desired.

“This isn’t the Pakistan of old. Now people are waking up. Our rallies have been effective in spite of obstacles,” Ayub said.
According to Geo News, the PTI leader also said that his party members suffered torture and were forbidden from flying party flags at public events in Pishin and Chaman.

Ayub declared on April 12 that they will begin a protest action against the alleged rigging of the February 8 general elections and for the “restoration of the Constitution and democracy” in the nation from Balochistan, all under the aegis of a “grand opposition alliance,” according to Geo News.
The head of the opposition underlined that Balochistan’s resources should be allocated with the wellbeing of its people as their first priority. He really said that a province’s riches have to be allocated to its citizens.
A day earlier, during a gathering in Pishin, Baloshitan, the six-party opposition coalition subsequently began its protest campaign against the government, with PTI Ayub vowing to restore their rights via the “Tehreek Tahafuz Ayin.”
The lawmaker told an energised audience, “The people of the country came forward to make this movement successful.”
The alliance consisting of PTI, Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP), Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), and Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) decided to launch a nationwide movement against the government. The meeting was held at the Taj Lala Football Stadium in Pishin.
The leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Sharif Khilji, announced his decision to join the PTI, claiming he has never entered politics in exchange for money or favours.
“The PPP has become a party of Zardari, not Bhutto,” he said.
