The Israel-Palestine War Sparked a Political Battle in India, with the BJP Praising Modi’s Government’s Safety and the Cong and CPM Disagreeing

The Israel-Palestine battle has sparked a “political war” in India, with the BJP claiming that the Narendra Modi administration has made the nation “safe” compared to the UPA era, when bombings and terrorist attacks were frequent. Over 30 “terror attacks” have been documented by the Congress since 2014.

The Middle East conflict and the stance taken by Indian political parties have brought to light the difficulties relating to the political allegiances and beliefs of the members that make up the INDIA alliance.

After the assault and infiltration by Hamas “terrorist” forces from the Gaza Strip, the Modi administration pledged its support and solidarity for Israel. However, hours later, Sitaram Yechury, the general secretary of the CPM, spoke of “Israeli aggression” by the “most Right-wing government.” In a thoughtful statement, Congress denounced the violence against Israel while still endorsing the Palestinian cause.

The BJP hasn’t wasted any time in advising the INDIA alliance to take a page from the Israeli opposition, which has wholeheartedly supported the Israeli prime minister’s counterattack on Palestine. The opposition in Israel placed the country first, said to BJP spokesman Shehzad Poonawalla, “but our opposition thinks ‘Modi Virodh me Nation Virodh’ is alright… challenges the Balakot and surgical operations, and even clears Pakistan of any responsibility for terrorist acts.

Also responding to the Congress’ tweet about more than 30 terrorist attacks since 2014, BJP officials cited tough measures like “surgical strikes” carried out in reaction to any blunders from Pakistan.

THE INDIA CONFLICT

The present dispute started when Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remark on “Sanatan Dharma” was recently handled politically by Congress.

“We all agree with Sitaram Yechury’s position, which he articulated. Each member of the INDIA bloc has their own views and political allegiances. In response to Yechury’s comments on the Israel-Palestine conflict, which the BJP may soon criticize for being inconsistent with the government’s position, a top Congress leader remarked, “We cannot control them.

Condemn vehemently these assaults and counterattacks on the Palestinian Gaza Strip. The execution of the UNSC resolution calling for a two-nation solution as well as the protection of the Palestinian people’s right to a homeland by Israel must all be guaranteed by the UN, according to Yechury. He declared his support for the Palestinian cause and mentioned the dead toll on the Palestinian side in his remarks, but he made no mention of the extensive number of Israeli victims of the assault.

Later, the Congress released a statement that was “careful,” according to political analysts. Congress denounced “the brutal attacks on the people of Israel” in its statement. The party, however, also argued that “the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people for a life of self-respect, equality, and dignity must be fulfilled only through a process of dialogue and negotiations while ensuring the legitimate national security interests of the Israeli people. Violence of any kind must end because it never offers a solution. Other INDIA constituents have not responded.

Later, the CPM Politburo released a statement in which it criticized the assaults and counterattacks carried out in the Palestinian Gaza Strip by Hamas and Israeli troops.

“Many lives have already been lost, and more fatalities and suffering are expected as the situation worsens. This exchange of words must stop. The West Bank has been the site of unrestrained Jewish settlement construction by Israel’s right-wingest government, led by Benjamin Netanyahu. 248 Palestinian lives had been killed so far this year, including 40 children, before current violence, it claimed.

The UN, the world community, and the Indian government were urged by the Politburo to “ensure the immediate cessation of this conflict and act for the implementation of the UN.”
