Trump posts a video after winning the Iowa Caucuses, claiming that “God made him” to be “America’s caretaker”

Following his historic win in the Iowa presidential contest on Monday, former US President Donald Trump uploaded an odd video on his Truth Social platform on Sunday in which he said that “God made him” to bring prosperity back to America. The three-minute film opens with a montage of moments from President Trump’s reign and shaky footage showing a photo of the president when he was younger.

And God remarked, “I need a caretaker,” as he peered down at his imagined paradise on June 14, 1946. Thus, God sent us Trump “the video’s narration claimed. “I need somebody who is willing to get up before dawn, fix this country, work all day, fight the Marxists, eat supper, then go to the Oval Office and stay past midnight at a meeting of the heads of state,” the biblical narrative continues. God thus created Trump.”
Seemingly mocking former First Lady Melania Trump, the movie goes on to discuss the necessity for someone who is “strong enough to wrestle the Deep State and yet gentle enough to deliver his grandchild”. “Somebody to ruffle the feathers, tame the cantankerous World Economic Forum, come home hungry, have to wait until the First Lady is done with lunch with friends, then tell the ladies to be sure and come back real soon – and mean it,” the voiceover continues.

The unsettling film includes specific allusions to “fake news,” guarding the Southern border, generating employment in the United States, and finding time to “fight the system all day”—all while managing to make it to church on Sundays. The Independent claims that the message is obviously aimed at winning over the conservative evangelical Christian population in America before the primary season finally begins in the Midwest on Monday.

Trump’s historic victory in Iowa
With his decisive win in the Iowa presidential primary, Trump moved one step closer to facing President Joe Biden in November’s general elections. Ninety-one percent of the results that have been made public indicate that Trump will win 20 of Iowa’s 40 delegates. Estimated delegates for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley are eight and seven, respectively.

Regardless of party affiliation—Republican, Democrat, liberal, or conservative—we want to unite. “We are going to unite. It will occur shortly.

Before the January 23 primary, Haley intends to fight hard in New Hampshire in the hopes of winning over more independent votes there. Meanwhile, DeSantis is on his way directly to South Carolina, a state that leans conservative and where the battle on February 24 may have major implications.

But the former president has a difficult path ahead of him given the many obstacles he faced throughout his campaign, including as several criminal prosecutions and continuing legal disputes in state and federal courts. However, in his bid for reelection, Trump has presented his legal troubles as “political attacks,” claiming he is the target of a “witch hunt.”

To appear in court on Tuesday, Trump was scheduled to take a flight to New York on Monday night. A jury is about to decide whether Trump should reimburse a writer who received a $5 million verdict award against him last year for defamation and sex assault.
