Trump’s relief: the election case’s six accusations were dropped

According to a court document, the judge in Donald Trump’s election subversion trial in Georgia on Wednesday rejected some allegations against the former US president and a few of his co-defendants while allowing the case to go forward in its entirety.

Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee dismissed six of the 41 felony charges, citing insufficient specificity in the prosecutors’ claims that they attempted to persuade officials to break their oaths.

the three counts against Trump that were dropped. In each of the four lawsuits, the Republican presidential candidate has denied any wrongdoing and claimed that their purpose is to prevent him from being reelected.
