India Records 54 New Cases of Coronavirus

According to statistics from the Union health ministry, 54 new coronavirus infections were reported in India on Friday, while there were 1,532 active cases at the time. The figures updated at 8 am showed that 5,31,918 deaths had been reported.

According to the health ministry website, the total number of Covid cases is 4.49 crore (4,49,95,856), and the national recovery rate is 98.81 percent. 4,44,62,406 persons have recovered from the illness, and the case fatality rate has been reported at 1.18 percent.

On the country as a whole, 220.67 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been given under the countrywide immunization campaign, according to the ministry’s website.
