According to the Hindu Panchang, Paush Purnima is celebrated in the Paush Month on the Shukla Paksha of Purnima Tithi. On this day, worshippers usually maintain a fast and pay homage to Goddess Lakshmi. It is common to offer arghya (rice powder) to the Moon in the evening, hoping to get blessings of prosperity and money. Furthermore, it is thought that moon worship improves stability and mental health. On the other hand, there has been considerable disagreement about Paush Purnima’s exact date.

Astrologer Chakrapani Bhatt explains that Paush Purnima is predicted to fall between 09:49 PM on January 24 and 11:23 PM on January 25, according the Panchang. On this fortunate day, Purnima Tithi, when the moon is normally visible, the expert advises taking a bath at morning.

The date of the Paush Purnima fast is set for January 25, 2024. Bathing, giving alms, worshiping Goddess Lakshmi in the evening, and offering arghya to the moon at night, beginning at 05:54 PM, are all recommended for devotees.

Among the noteworthy yogas that will emerge on Paush Purnima in 2024 are:

Ravi Yoga: 7:00 AM–8:00 PM

Guru Pushya Yoga on January 26 from 08:16 to 07:12.

Amrit Siddhi Yoga: 8:00 AM the next day to 7:00 AM

Preeti Yoga: Throughout the night, starting at 7:32 AM

Whole-day Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga

On Paush Purnima, dawn is predicted to occur at 07:13 AM and sunset will occur at 05:54 PM. At 05:29 AM, the Moonrise is predicted to occur. Avoiding unlucky times is advised, since Bhadra is in effect from 07:13 AM to 10:33 AM and Rahu is in effect from 01:54 PM to 03:14 PM.

In addition to being known as Paush Purnima, Shakambhari Purnima is observed on this auspicious day in honor of the goddess Shakambhari. It is recommended that devotees follow these schedules and customs in order to have a lucky and successful Paush Purnima.
