We are discussing potatoes with honey and chili. This recipe is a favorite among foodies worldwide because it boasts a mouthwatering blend of spicy and sweet flavors that is well-balanced. For this, you will need ingredients like 500 grams of potatoes, three to four tablespoons of cornflour, one or two tablespoons maida, salt as per your taste, oil for frying, finely chopped garlic and chilies, chopped onions, and capsicum, tomato sauce, chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, and water.

How to Cook:

Wash and peel the potatoes first. Cut them into wedges after that. For 15 minutes, let them soak in cold water to remove excess starch. After straining the potatoes, use a tissue or kitchen towel to wipe them dry.

Combine the cornflour, maida, and salt in a small basin. After that, add water gradually to create a smooth batter.

To cook the potatoes, heat the oil in a nonstick pan. After dipping the potato wedges in the batter and frying them in the heated oil until they become crispy and golden brown, let the oil to heat up.

One nonstick pan should have two teaspoons of oil heated. Add one medium-sized chopped onion, one or two green chilies, and four to five chopped garlic cloves to the heated oil. Add the onion and sauté until it becomes transparent. Add one chopped capicum now, and sauté it for one minute.

Now add half a cup of water, two teaspoons of honey, one tablespoon each of chilli sauce, vinegar, and soy sauce, and two tablespoons of tomato sauce. After thoroughly combining all the ingredients, let the sauce simmer for two to three minutes. To guarantee that the sauce is well coated, add the fried potatoes to the mixture and thoroughly mix them in.

Remove from the heat and sprinkle with the toasted sesame seeds and spring onions.
