Meet guy, who ran a Rs 695000 crore company, received a pay deal of Rs 48 crore, then quit to join

A well-known figure in the Indian IT industry is Vishal Sikka. One of the largest IT firms in India, Inosys, is where he once held the position of CEO. One of the largest IT firms in India, Infosys has a market valuation of over Rs 695000 crore. Several of India’s brightest brains have headed Infosys since its founding by Narayana Murthy, Vishal Sikka being one of them. In case you missed it, Vishal Sikka led Infosys as its managing director and CEO from August 2014 till 2017. Vishal Sikka has contributed significantly to Infosys reaching new heights, and the organization is now reaching new heights.

In 2014, Vishal Sikka was named CEO and MD of Infosys, a position he held until 2017. With a compensation package of more than Rs 48 crore, he was among the best paid CEOs in the nation during his term. At now, Sikka is engaged in his own artificial intelligence venture, Vianai, which he established in 2019.

The birthplace of Vishal Sikka is Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh. The family relocated to Gujarat after he was born, where he completed his education. Sikka enrolled at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda’s bachelor’s program in computer engineering in order to graduate, but he later left to seek a bachelor’s degree in computer science at Syracuse University in New York. Sikka finished his doctorate at Stanford University in 1996 after his graduation.

Following graduation, Sikka worked for a period in the research laboratories of Xerox before founding two firms and selling them to large corporations. Sikka became an area vice-president of Peregrine Systems after selling his second venture, Bodha.com. Sikka worked there for a short while before joining SAP in 2002 and remaining there for almost ten years. Sikka spent 12 years in high leadership positions at SAP, where he rose to become the company’s first CTO in 2007. Sikka oversaw SAP’s product strategy coherence and overall technological architecture in his capacity as CTO.

Vishal Sikka is credited for developing SAP’s ground-breaking in-memory data platform, SAP HANA, which is the company’s fastest-growing product to date, among other things.
