Meet the 9-year-old Indian prodigy who is the most gifted student in the world. She lives in

Preesha Chakraborty, a nine-year-old girl of Indian descent, made headlines lately in the United States when she was included on the list of the world’s most gifted pupils.

Preesha won the title of most brilliant kid worldwide after outperforming 16,000 pupils from 90 nations in a recent aptitude competition conducted in the United States. The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) administered grade-level examinations to nearly 16,000 pupils, and the assessment was based on their findings.

Every year, the Johns Hopkins Center publishes a list honoring extremely gifted kids throughout the globe. Preesha’s outstanding achievement earned her a spot on the list of the most gifted pupils in the world. The evaluations are administered as grade-level exams to more than 16,000 students in 90 countries. Preesha performed very well on assessments including the School and College Ability Test, the American College Testing, and the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT).

Preesha attends Warm Springs Elementary School in the third grade and lives in Fremont, California. She took part in the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (JH-CTY) 2023 Talented Youth Contest, one of the hardest in the country.

Preesha’s parents, who are happy with their daughter’s achievements and noted that she has always had a desire for studying, expressed pleasure and satisfaction in their daughter’s accomplishment. They stressed that she is a conscientious learner and that they want to see her continue to advance.

Notably, 13-year-old Natasha Periyanayagam, another girl of Indian descent, made this list for the second year in a row, demonstrating the steady success of pupils of Indian descent in international contests of this kind.
