These indicators are intimately associated with chronic illnesses including diabetes and heart disease and play important roles in the body’s inflammatory processes.

The researchers discovered some fascinating things. These inflammatory markers were less prevalent in the bloodstream among those who reported having pleasant interactions with nature on a regular basis. A substantial correlation between spending time in nature and less inflammation was found using structural equation modeling, even after accounting for a number of variables including demographics, health-related behaviors, and prescription drug use.

Professor Ong emphasized that the quality of one’s experiences in nature is just as important as their number. It’s not enough to just spend time outside; one must fully immerse themselves in nature and get great sensations from it. These results imply that the health advantages of nature go beyond simple pleasure and may really affect our physiological well-being.
