1. To obtain Lord Shiva’s blessings, devotees should keep stringent fasts every Monday of the Shravan maas.

2. Regular Jalabhisheks for Lord Shiva should be performed.

3. To present to the deity, prepare panchamrit using milk, curd, honey, sugar, and ghee. Every morning after bathing, perform the Jal Abhishek using panchamrit.

4. During the Sawan month, wearing a rudraksha mala and reciting Lord Shiva’s mantras are both said to be particularly successful.

5. Married ladies can also observe the Mangal Gauri vrat and ask the goddess’ blessings during the Shravan maas.

6. Chanting the Maha Mrityunjaya mantra 108 times daily is thought to be particularly lucky for obtaining Lord Shiva’s blessings.

7. During the auspicious month of Sawan, devotees should refrain from consuming non-vegetarian cuisine, onions, garlic, and alcohol.

8. During the whole month of the sawan fast, men should refrain from shaving.

9. After making the Sankalp to fast in Sawan, breaking the fast in the middle is viewed as sinful.

10. During this sacred time, be respectful, express gratitude, and be kind to everyone.

12. Rock salt should be used in place of table salt when cooking during the month of Sawan.
