School notes: Zirakpur’s Gurukul

In an effort to put students’ health and wellness first, the school has started allowing pupils to take frequent water breaks throughout class. Given the importance of staying hydrated throughout the hot summer months, students are required to take planned breaks during class. By offering water to kids on a daily basis, the school is making an investment in their health and academic achievement.

Panchkula’s Satluj Public School

Laughter Day was observed by the school’s fifth- through eighth-grade students. Throughout the day, there were comedy face challenges, joke contests, and a laughing yoga class for the students.

Mohali’s Shishu Niketan Public School

Little ones in the school’s kindergarten section celebrated World Hand Hygiene Day. Along with education on cleanliness and personal hygiene, the day included a hand-washing exercise.

Panchkula’s Hansraj Public School

The school hosted the first parent-teacher conference of the term in conjunction with a blood donation camp on campus. The Department of Transfusion Medicine at PGI, Chandigarh, worked with organizers to plan the camp. A total of 117,000 units of blood were drawn.

Chandigarh’s Saupin’s School

The investiture event was held for the school’s 2024–2025 academic year. The recently chosen student council was formally introduced at that time. The badges that represented the council members’ titles and duties were given to them. Academic and athletic athletes will get scholarships totaling Rs 2.6 lakh for 2023–2024.

Panchkula’s DC Model Senior Secondary School

A variety of necessities, including food, clothing, and bedding, were gathered for distribution to the families impacted by the recent fire at Majri Chowk in Panchkula by the combined efforts of the school’s parents, staff, and students, as well as the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization.

Chandigarh’s KB DAV Senior Sec Public School

In order to officially inaugurate the newly chosen office bearers of the school senate for the 2024–25 session, the school held its ninth investiture event. Principal Pooja Prakash presented the newly constituted senators with sashes and badges.

The school hosted a session for kids on stress management. Dr. Kriti Anand, the spokeswoman, provided information on frequent causes of stress in kids as well as ways to avoid it.

RIMT Global Academy, Mani Majra

Saara Sharma, who is just 14 years old, was selected to represent India in the U18 division at the 2024 World Youth Festival in Sochi, Russia. Youth from about 180 nations came together for the event. Saara spoke with young delegates from a wide range of nations throughout the event. She also took part in a wide variety of courses and events, including language instruction, career planning, art and craft classes, and cultural discovery.

Chandigarh’s Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School

The school had an institution-day celebration. The occasion was planned to celebrate the start of institute week and the end of the congregation of Clarist Franciscan Missionaries’ quasquicentennial jubilee. The day began with a prayer session and ended with a musical performance of the CFMSS flag, “Go forth, my daughters.”

Chandigarh PML SD Public School

On a watermelon day, the kindergarten class at the school rejoiced. The little children all wore red to school. The enlarged vocabulary related to the subject was introduced to the students, along with the health advantages of watermelon.
