The Rekhi Foundation for Happiness and the university have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the course’s delivery and the establishment of a Center of Excellence for Science of Happiness at the institution’s five women’s colleges.

The declaration states that the foundation will create and disseminate the course content. This curriculum may be altered by Delhi University to accommodate changing student demands and credit requirements. The most essential thing in life is happiness. Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh said, “Du has decided to include the course on Science of Happiness in the curriculum of the programs running in its departments and colleges. DU has recognized the idea and need of science of happiness.”

DU will inform its institutions to make the required preparations for providing the course on the Science of Happiness as soon as the curriculum is finalized. The course could be made available as an elective at first. According to the statement, the government may eventually turn it into a major or minor topic.

Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Gargi College, Indraprastha Women’s College, Miranda House, and Daulat Ram College are the five women’s institutions where the curriculum will be presented first. Satinder Singh Rekhi and his spouse, Harpreet Rekhi, have been managing the non-profit Rekhi Foundation for Happiness since 2016.
