World Tuna Day 2024: Overview, Background, Importance, Details, and Quotations

Every year on May 2, World Tuna Day is devoted to bringing attention to how important tuna conservation is. Because it contains essential vitamins, protein, and omega-3 fatty acids, tuna is well-known for its many health advantages. But overfishing and irresponsible fishing methods pose serious challenges to tuna species.

To encourage sustainable fishing methods and protect tuna species for future generations, the UN created World Tuna Day in recognition of the critical need for conservation efforts. On this day, we can raise awareness of the problems confronting tuna and push for sustainable fishing methods that protect the long-term health and sustainability of tuna populations.
