10% off for Mumbai residents Mumbai metro passengers on election day
Mumbai: The day of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, May 20, will see a special 10% discount for riders on Metro Lines 2A and 7 in the suburbs of Mumbai.
Mumbai Metro commuters who use their Mumbai 1 Card, paper QR, or paper tickets will be able to go to the polls and get a special 10% base rate reduction on their return trip home after casting their ballots.
Voters from all around the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) will be traveling to cast their ballots. Mumbai Metro therefore took the commendable step of providing discounts to its customers on May 20. The residents of MMR may more easily fulfill their democratic duty by traveling to their designated polling places, thanks to this significant guidance. Additionally, this action increases passengers’ satisfaction with Mumbai Metro’s services, according to the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation.
To encourage metro commuters to carry out their civic responsibility and cast a ballot in elections, Maha Mumbai Metro is actively involved in SVEEP, or Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation. The goal of this program is to inspire people to use their right to vote as a way to support their country.
