A Dera Baba Nanak youth was discovered slain in Amritsar

On Monday night, a young man from Dera Baba Nanak town was discovered dead from a sharp-edged weapon murder. Sandeep Singh, also known as Shera, was identified as dead. He was being investigated for many crimes.

In a “Facebook post,” infamous mobster Happy Pachhia said that he had killed Sandeep Singh. In his purported Facebook post, Happy claimed that they had killed a police informant the previous evening. Sandeep was employed by both the police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

The same perpetrators also killed another informant, Hardeep Chawla, in Dera Baba Nanak on January 1, 2024. Sandeep had assisted the authorities in apprehending those sought in the murder of Chawla.

Senior police officers refuted any connection between the mobster and Sandeep’s murder, nonetheless. They said that Sandeep was the subject of six cases. The Facebook post that went viral is the subject of an inquiry. According to an early investigation, the message was posted from an account belonging to a foreign national, a senior police official said.

Sandeep’s family members, meanwhile, said that the officers would often visit their home dressed in civilian clothes. Sandeep was accompanied by a civil-uniformed police officer who paid them a visit on Saturday.

The family received word of Sandeep’s murder on Monday night. The police have opened an investigation and filed a complaint against unnamed individuals.
