A documentary about Sandeshkhali, featuring the hardship of women, is released by the BJP
NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) exposed alleged land grabs and sexual abuse of women in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal, in a documentary that was posted on social media on Thursday.
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) administration has been charged by the BJP of attempting to hide the truth regarding these instances. The more than 20-minute video includes stories from women in Sandeshkhali who talk about their terrifying experiences.
On X, the BJP said, “A truth that will shock us.”
A painful fact for us all. A revelation that will jolt our conscience.The Sandeshkhali reality, which Mamata Banerjee is attempting to conceal.”
However, TMC has said that BJP is making up these accusations. In advance of the Lok Sabha elections, the primary opposition party in West Bengal, the BJP, has used this issue to take on primary Minister Mamata Banerjee and her party.
Women in the area have accused TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan and his allies of sexually abusing them and forcibly taking property. Following an alleged violent assault on Enforcement Directorate personnel during a raid connected to a corruption investigation, Shahjahan is presently at large.
