A former Congress MLA has filed a complaint titled “Book Himachal CM Sukhvinder Sukhu for slander.”

Former Congress MLA Sudhir Sharma, who is running as the BJP candidate in the Dharamsala Assembly bypoll, has filed a police complaint against Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

Sudhir said, “I am writing to bring to your notice a serious case of criminal defamation and misleading people, associated with Sukhu,” in a complaint he addressed to the state DGP, the SP, and Kangra.

“I am a four-time MLA and former minister running for Dharamsala byelection on the BJP ticket. In his police complaint, Sudhir said, “Recently, a video and media reports regarding a misleading speech made by Sukhu in the Kutlehar area of Una district on April 4 have emerged from my constituency, falling under your jurisdiction.”

He said that Sukhu “spread false information among the public for his personal gain” during a public speech.

According to Sukhu, the dissident MLAs were bought for a total of Rs 15 crore each.

He remarked, “An unfounded accusation has been made against me and the other MLAs who recently joined the BJP and are running for office.” “It is deeply concerning that the Chief Minister traveled to Kutlehar using public funds.” I implore you to act immediately and file a criminal complaint against Sukhu for discrediting me as a public worker and deceiving the public, considering the seriousness of this situation and its consequences. Sudhir said, “I am dedicated to pursuing justice in this case and have complete faith that you will act promptly and diligently.

On the same grounds, Sudhir had already handed the CM a defamation notice. In the run-up to the Lok Sabha and Assembly byelections, the verbal sparring between Congress leaders and rebels is becoming less intense.
