A young person killed by a train

Phagwara: On Wednesday morning, a young person was struck by a train close to the Phagwara train station. Komal Bawa, a Preet Nagar resident in Phagwara, has been identified as dead. It happened when he was stepping over the railroad tracks. In order to conduct a post-mortem examination, the Government Railway Police (GRP) have filed a complaint and transferred the corpse to the Civil Hospital. OC

A motorcycle driver dies in collision

Phagwara: A motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle close to the Khalwara bypass, resulting in his death. The scooterist, Sat Pal, an Indira Nagar resident, passed away instantly. Shamsher Singh, a Jalandhar resident, is the driver of the vehicle and has been charged with careless driving by the Sadar police. There is a recorded case. OC

Phagwara: A guy has been detained by the Nurmahal police for allegedly selling illegal alcohol. The Shamsha Bad village inhabitant, Manpreet, also known as Kaku, has been named as the suspect. According to investigating officer Jagjit Singh, eighteen bottles of alcohol were found in his possession. A complaint has been filed against the suspect in accordance with Punjab Excise Act Sections 61, 1 and 14. OC

two people scheduled for a fraud charge

Hoshiarpur: Two individuals have been detained by the Hajipur police on charges of defrauding people out of Rs 16.70 lakh on the false pretense of shipping them overseas. Surinder Kumar, a Gurdevpura, Mukerian resident, reportedly told the police that he and Gurabkhsh Lal had been defrauded of Rs 16.70 lakh under the guise of sending them to Portugal by Madan Mohan, a travel agent who lived in Nangal Bihala, and Roop Lal, a resident of Vikas Nagar, New Delhi. There is a case open with the police. OC

Two detained for snatching and stealing

Hoshiarpur: Two people are being held by the police on suspicion of stealing and snatching. On March 23, Satnam Singh of Ludhiana reportedly informed the Garhshankar police that he was riding his motorbike back from Anandpur Sahib. Upon arriving in Garhshankar, he approached someone to inquire for a place to spend the night. He was led to an abandoned location by the suspect. He assaulted him, took silver jewelry, a cell phone, and 7,000 from him. Sagar Muhammad, a resident of Santosh Nagar in Ludhiana, was taken into custody by the police. In a another instance, Jaspreet Singh, a Hadrowal resident, reported to the Bullowal police that Nitin Verma, also known as Suraj Thakur, a Nasrala resident, had pilfered goods from his home. The suspect was taken into custody by the police. OC

A young person dies in a car crash.

Hoshiarpur: A young person lost their life after being struck by an unknown car. Maliya Nangal village resident Surinder Singh reportedly informed the police that his 23-year-old son Rohit was coming home from work. Upon arriving in the vicinity of Chungi Dasuya, Hoshiarpur, he was struck by an unknown car. He passed away from his wounds. There is a case open with the police.
