According to Rajasthan education mantri, who cites “historical narratives,” Akbar was a “rapist.”

JAIPUR: Madan Dilawar, the minister of education for Rajasthan, reiterated his previous public remarks—including ones made in schools—that Akbar was a “rapist” on Tuesday, using “historical narratives” to support his claim.

A commission to examine school textbooks and eliminate any information that “may portray national heroes negatively or instill a sense of inferiority among students” was declared by the BJP leader.

“I’ve read historical accounts that claim Akbar set up ‘Meena Bazaars,’ or marketplaces, with the intention of kidnapping, raping, and attacking women. “From what I’ve read, he was a real rapist,” Dilawar said when asked whether his claims were backed up by historical records.
The minister said, “I encountered this information during my past readings (of historical accounts), and my circle (of people) has come across similar narratives,” in response to an inquiry about why this assertion does not exist in any history source or textbook.
Dilawar emphasized that he just wanted textbooks “examined” and has “never proposed revising” them. “A committee will evaluate the present textbooks, which were maliciously changed by the previous Congress government. Our mission is to make sure that textbooks don’t make kids feel less than or denigrate our country’s heroes. The minister said that appropriate action would be taken if the committee finds anything that is problematic.
He was also questioned whether government schools will use Surya Namaskar as a regular practice. “Although no official order has been issued, I have suggested conducting it after school prayers,” he said.
