After a bus catches fire on a highway in Maharashtra, 25 people die

According to authorities, a bus carrying 33 passengers caught fire and erupted into flames on Buldhana’s Samruddhi Mahamarg motorway in Maharashtra, killing at least 25 people. According to Deputy SP Baburao Mahamuni, the wounded were sent to Buldhana Civil Hospital, according to ANI.

A private transport bus travelling from Nagpur to Pune collided with a divider near Sindkhedraja in the Buldhana district at approximately two in the morning on Saturday, according to the police.

According to Kadasane, the bus driver, who survived the tragedy, said that the vehicle flipped when a tyre broke, causing fires inside the bus.

According to his office, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has promised a 5 lakh rupee ex-gratia for the relatives of those killed in the bus tragedy.

Devendra Fadnavis, deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, described the occurrence as “very shocking and heart-wrenching,” adding that his government is in contact with the district’s and the police administration and that all assistance is being given right away.

“The state government will pay for the injured’s treatment,” he stated.

Amit Shah, the union home minister, expressed sorrow over the event and assured the public that the government was treating the wounded.

“The road accident in Buldhana district of Maharashtra is tragic. My sympathies are with the families of those who lost their lives in this terrible disaster during this time of sadness. The government gives the affected people prompt medical attention. I beseech God for his quick recovery,” Shah said in a Hindi tweet.

“The loss of lives in the unfortunate incident of a bus fire on the Mumbai-Nagpur Motorway is extremely sad and heartbreaking,” Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted. I offer the families of the deceased my sympathies.

“I ask God for a place for the departed souls at his holy feet and a quick recovery for the injured.”
