Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the PM included an RTI to his alliance: MK Stalin’s Katchatheevu Jibe

Chennai: In light of the Katchatheevu island controversy, M.K. Stalin launched a fresh round of jabs at Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections, claiming to have “allianced” with the Right to Information Act (RTI).

“He added RTI to his coalition after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Income Tax (IT). Stalin remarked, “(PM) Modi is using RTI for gimmicks because he knows that people won’t believe anything he says.”

Following Prime Minister Modi’s Sunday remarks, in which he criticised the Congress party over the Katchatheevu island incident following an RTI, Stalin launched a scathing response. The government of then-prime minister Indira Gandhi decided to give Sri Lanka ownership of Katchatheevu island in 1974, as the RTI information revealed.

Stalin went on to criticise the saffron party, saying that social justice and equality will not reign in the nation until the BJP loses the Lok Sabha elections. He went on to say that the saffron party is aware that people will overthrow it.

“Were you unaware that Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, and Hemant Soren, the former chief minister of Jharkhand, had been arrested?” Income Tax reversed course at the Supreme Court after suspending the accounts of the Congress party. “So you don’t know what the ED, CBI, and IT are doing?” he said.
He continued by saying that those who find the name “Dravidian” uncomfortable are attempting to portray him as someone who is opposed to religion.

“Not religion, but communalism that divides people is what we oppose. In the words of M. Karunanidhi’s Kalaignar, we do not argue against the existence of temples; rather, we argue against their turning into the retreat of the ruthless. In general, Stalin said, “Those who use religion to divide people are our enemies.”
