Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra and Supriya Sule embrace in a temple in Baramati, Maharashtra

News from Maharashtra: The leader of the NCP (SP) and MP for Baramati, Supriya Sule, and the wife of Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister, Ajit Pawar, Sunetra Pawar, may face off in the next Lok Sabha elections of 2024. On Friday, March 8, they had an embrace in a temple in Baramati Tehsil.

There is much conjecture that the NCP, headed by Ajit Pawar, may run Sunetra Pawar against Sule, the cousin of Ajit and the daughter of party founder Sharad Pawar, in the Baramati Lok Sabha seat. At Jalochi village’s Kamleshwar temple, the two ladies faced each other.

“I met Supriya ‘tai’ (the older sister in Marathi) after doing my prayers at the shrine. On the occasion of Women’s Day and Maha Shivratri, we both sent wishes,” a statement from Sunetra Pawar said.
