Alleti Maheshwar Reddy was named the head of the BJP’s Legislature Party in Telangana

Finally, the BJP named its floor leaders for the State Legislative Assembly and Council on Wednesday.

According to a statement released by the party’s state president G Kishan Reddy, Nirmal MLA Alleti Maheshwar Reddy has been named the head of the BJP Legislature Party, while AVN Reddy, MLC for the Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Mahabubnagar Teachers Constituency, has been named the floor leader in the Council.

Additionally, the BJP named K Venkata Ramana Reddy of Kamareddy and Payal Shankar of Adilabad as deputy floor leaders. MLA Palvai Harish of Sirpur will serve as the chief whip, while MLA Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta of Nizamabad Urban will serve as the whip. The party’s treasurer and secretary will be Armoor MLA P Rakesh Reddy and Mudhol MLA Rama Rao Patel, respectively.

Maheshwar Reddy, a Nirmal member, was recently voted as the Assembly’s floor leader, making him the first MLA from the former Adilabad district. He defeated Nirmal in the 2009 Assembly elections running on a Praja Rajyam Party ticket, and he thereafter joined the Congress. He switched allegiance to the BJP in 2023, and in the most recent Assembly elections, he defeated Nirmal.

Additionally, the BJP chose Payal Shankar, a lawmaker from Adilabad, and K Venkata Ramana Reddy, a legislator from Kamareddy, to serve as deputy floor leaders.
