AP government seeks appeal against temporary order (GO 2283)

The State administration made the decision to file an appeal against the temporary ruling regarding the establishment of camp offices in Visakhapatnam for the purpose of monitoring North Andhra development, which was given by the single judge bench presided over by Justice Nimmagadda Venkateswarlu. It asked the AP High Court for permission to file an appeal.

As an urgent lunch motion petition, Special Government Pleader Chintala Suman requested that the appeal be heard. A division bench made up of Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice R Raghunandan Rao allowed the appeal and said that it would be heard on Tuesday.

The government’s order (GO 2283) to establish camp offices in Visakhapatnam was contested by Rajadhani farmers M Srinivasa Rao and V Manoharam, as well as Amaravati Parirakshana Samithi managing trustee G Tirupati Rao.

Following hearing arguments from both parties, the one-judge bench issued instructions to “maintain status quo” until the petition’s hearing was taken up by the three-member court.
