Applications for Bengaluru’s fancy car numbers are being accepted

The state transport department is accepting applications for the allocation of fancy vehicle registration numbers for Light Motor Vehicles (cars, etc.) between 1 and 9999 in accordance with Rule 46 (AA) of the Karnataka Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. On April 18, at 12 p.m., a transport commissioner’s office in Shantinagar will hold an auction for the series “KA 50/MD (Yelahanka RTO).”

In order to participate in the auction, citizens must submit an application and a DD for Rs 75,000 made out to the Secretary of the State Transport Authority in Bengaluru (with the exception of DDs received from co-operative banks) along with a receipt.

On April 18, the application and DD must be turned in by 12 p.m. The candidates who take part in the auction will get tokens, and the fancy numbers will be awarded to the top bidders in a public auction.

The government will lose the bid sum if the successful bidder fails to pay the whole price in the form of DD within two working days and register the car within ninety days.
