Army and police personnel were wounded in the conflict in Kashmir

In an encounter with terrorists on Wednesday in Kokernag, South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, army and police personnel were wounded.

The security forces have not yet released information regarding how many wounded cops there were. There are reports of a significant injury to a DSP.

Meanwhile, this morning’s continuing confrontation in Jammu’s rural Narla neighborhood of the Rajouri district claimed the life of another Pakistani terrorist. Three additional Army troops, a police SPO, and Rifleman Ravi, a member of the 63 RR, were also wounded.

“Encounter has begun in the Kokernag area of Anantnag,” the Kashmir Zone Police stated on X. Army and JKP officers were hurt.

When a combined Army and Police force conducted a cordon and search operation in the Gadole region in response to intelligence inputs concerning the presence of terrorists, an encounter in Kokernag broke out.

The first exchange of fire resulted in bullet wounds for the policemen. They were taken right away to the hospital.

In the meanwhile, Rifleman Ravi’s great sacrifice during the Rajouri encounter was honored by the Army’s White Knight Corps, which is stationed in Nagrota, during a wreath-laying ceremony.

Tuesday saw the beginning of the combined operation in the Rajouri area after the Indian Army and JKP watched and followed the movements of two militants since September 7.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, two terrorists were slain. The second terrorist was chased and eliminated the next morning, September 13, despite poor weather and dangerous terrain, after all-night gunfire.

A sizable amount of weapons and ammunition, including Pakistani-branded medications, have been found. The life of an Army dog was also sacrificed.
