Babaria retaliates, claiming that promotions were going to unworthy individuals

New Delhi: Following his resignation as head of the Delhi Congress, Arvinder Singh Lovely took aim at AICC chief Deepak Babaria, accusing him of “unilaterally vetoing” decisions made by senior Delhi leaders. Babaria defended his actions, claiming Lovely had stopped him numerous times because he was promoting unworthy individuals, which was “demoralising other party workers.”

On Monday, Congress is scheduled to declare the temporary “working” or acting president who will succeed Lovely.

“Campaigning will continue as before and our alliance with AAP is intact,” Babaria told TOI.
Speaking to the media, Babaria said that DPCC officials and workers were given the benefit of the doubt before the party’s alliance with the AAP in Delhi, and Lovely was involved in the conversations. “He ought to have expressed his concerns at that time. He said, “Anyone who disassociates themselves from a party or position usually finds a cause to do so.

Lovely resigned from the Congress and told Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge that Babaria had “unilaterally vetoed” all of the consensual choices made by top Delhi leaders, and that the Delhi Congress unit was against the partnership with the AAP.

Although Lovely’s departure coincided with the LS elections, Babaria called it “unfortunate,” but he insisted that it would not have an impact on Congress. “The Congress high command has accepted his resignation with immediate effect,” said Babaria.
The leaders of Delhi reportedly expressed astonishment at Lovely’s accusations during a meeting that Babaria hosted, according to sources, and the majority of them said that he was the most vocal supporter of a partnership with the AAP. Babaria met a number of people, including Anil Choudhary and Subhash Chopra.
