BJP President Shah talks about the seats in Chandigarh and Haryana

Leading BJP officials met with state leaders on Wednesday, including those from Chandigarh and Haryana, to talk about Lok Sabha candidates for the next elections.

The meeting, which was presided over by BJP head JP Nadda and attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national general secretary organization BL Santosh, was attended by Haryana head Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, State Party Chief Nayab Singh Saini, and other members of the core committee.

Jatinder Pal Malhotra, the state head of Chandigarh, attended the conference, which was conducted separately for the states and Union Territories under consideration. Meetings to debate one candidate for the single Chandigarh seat and ten for Haryana, where the BJP has sitting MPs, began at 7:30 p.m. and continued until ten o’clock at night.

Prior to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s anticipated March 8 chairing of the central election committee meeting, the meeting is anticipated to finalize about 100 Lok Sabha seats.
