“Bookie” from Gurugram shot dead in Rohtak

Late on Thursday night, unknown attackers in a vehicle ambushed Gurugram-based businessman Sachin Goda near Lakhan Majra town in the Rohtak district.

Darshana Devi, Sachin’s mother, was shot in the leg while attempting to rescue him during the assault. In a police complaint, Darshana said that on Thursday night, she was traveling to Sangrur to attend a wedding with her family, which included Sachin, her daughter-in-law, and her two grandchildren.

Police reports claim that during an international cricket match in October 2023, Sachin and eight other people were detained and charged in relation to a betting scheme in Rohtak.
