Bootlegger apprehended by BSF from International Border

A bootlegger was apprehended on Saturday by a Border Security Force patrolling group on motorcycles close to the Dariya Mansoor Border checkpoint. Tilka Singh of Chak Dogra in Ajnala was recognized as the man, but his accomplice was able to escape the scene.

In his complaint to the Ramdass police, Inspector Ravi Yadav said that two individuals riding motorcycles made a U-turn and attempted to escape the scene on Friday night after seeing the BSF squad. They were pursued by Sub-Inspector Umang Yadav and Constable Ravi, a member of his squad. The pillion rider lost control of the bike during the pursuit and fled into a field of crops. He said that when Yadav and Ravi attempted to apprehend the rider, their bike skidded and they were hurt, and the rider ran off.

He said that the pillion rider was pursued and apprehended by policeman Nagender Yadav. Approximately ten packages carrying thirty liters of domestic whiskey, a cell phone, and Rs 1,570 in Indian cash were found by the BSF squad during their search.
