BRS Candidate List: Four More Names Announced by KCR’s Party; K Kavitha May Not Run for Lok Sabha

Candidates for four more Lok Sabha seats—including Nizamabad, which was formerly held by party MLC K Kavitha—were declared by the BRS on Wednesday. According to reports, she may not run in the next Lok Sabha elections. In her capacity as an MP, Kavitha served the Nizamabad seat from 2014 to 2019.

Former Nizamabad MLA Bajireddy Govardhan was nominated by the BRS. In the 2019 general elections, Arvind Dharmapuri of the BJP defeated Kavitha.

Gali Vinod Kumar (Zaheerabad), Kadiam Kavya (Warangal), and Kasani Gyaneshwar (Chevella) are the other candidates that BRS has announced.

With this, the party has so far declared candidates for nine of Telangana’s seventeen Lok Sabha seats.

Former Telangana TDP president Kasani Gyaneshwar joined BRS before to the assembly elections in the previous year.

Kadiam Kavya’s candidacy was declared by BRS president and former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao after discussions with the Warangal branch’s important officials, according to a BRS statement.

After former Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao and other BRS officials ‘visited’ his Warangal house, former BRS MLA Aroor Ramesh attended a conference hosted by KCR in Hyderabad amid rumors that he might join the BJP.

Meanwhile, KCR and other party officials met at KCR’s home in Telangana, attended by BSP Rajya Sabha member Ramji Gautam, BSP president R S Praveen Kumar, and other party leaders, according to BRS.

Prior to the Lok Sabha elections, the BRS had said that it will form an alliance with the BSP in Telangana.
