Congress’s statement on Ayodhya’s invitation to the Ram Temple event was, “You will know on.”

The Congress did not reveal its stance on whether senior party officials will attend the January 22 consecration event of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, but on Thursday it expressed gratitude to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for the invitation.

The consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya has invited Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, former party boss Sonia Gandhi, and the party’s leader in the Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
The top leaders of Congress may not attend the event, however, according to sources that PTI mentioned.

Congress national secretary KC Venugopal said on Thursday that invitations to the function had been sent to the party leaders.

He remarked at a news conference, “They have invited us, we are very much thankful to them for inviting us, let us (see).”

When asked whether the leaders of the Congress will be present at the event, Venugopal said, “You will be aware of the party’s stance. On January 22, you will be informed of your participation.

According to the sources, Kharge, Gandhi, and Chowdhury each received an invitation separately.

Reportedly, Nripendra Mishra and other members of the team connected to the building of the Ram Temple invited Gandhi and Kharge.

The installation of the Ram Lalla deity at the opulent shrine is scheduled to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Following the consecration event, Mandal Puja will begin on January 24 and last for 48 days. The public may then begin to have Ram Lalla darshan on January 23.

The leaders of all major parties, as well as former prime ministers Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda, and former president Pratibha Patil, have been invited. Governors and chief ministers, however, are not invited.

Among those to be invited are the heads of important temples like Kashi Vishwanath and Vaishno Devi, as well as representatives of religious and constitutional institutions, actors like Rajnikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, and Arun Govil, film director Madhur Bhandarkar, and industrialists like Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, renowned painter Vasudev Kamat, and ISRO Director Nilesh Desai.
