Court extends AAP leader Sanjay Singh’s judicial detention till November 24 in the Delhi excise case
The judicial custody of AAP leader Sanjay Singh, who was detained in connection with a money laundering case involving the purported Delhi excise fraud, was extended by a Delhi court on Friday till November 24.
Singh was also permitted to sign some papers pertaining to his duties as a Member of Parliament for development by Special Judge M K Nagpal.
After learning that a production warrant had been obtained from a court in Amritsar, Punjab, in a case there, the judge further ordered the relevant authorities to bring him before a Punjabi court.
On October 4, the anti-money laundering agency had taken Singh into custody.
According to the ED, Singh was instrumental in the creation and execution of the now-canceled excise law, which favored certain alcohol producers, distributors, and retailers.
