Creating divisions in the name of caste and religion in Maharashtra: Shraddha Pawar

Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), said at a public speech on Monday in Karad that the people of Maharasthra will not fall prey to anti-democratic forces.

He also noted that certain organisations were dividing people in the State and the nation in the name of caste and religion.
The NCP leader added, “We were serving Maharashtra under Uddhav Thackeray but our government was toppled by some people,” in a speech to the public at the Yashwant Chavan Samadhi in Karad. The same thing occurred in other regions of the nation as well, including Delhi, Punjab, and West Bengal, where democratically run administrations are under siege.
The NCP leader said that the people of Maharashtra will not submit to “undemocratic forces” without specifically mentioning his nephew Ajit Pawar, who joined the Eknath Shinde-led cabinet with eight other MLAs.

“Some organisations are now dividing society in the name of caste and religion in Maharashtra and throughout the nation. We made an effort to oppose the BJP, but sadly some of us gave up to its influence. We shall regain our strength with the help of the general population. The people of Maharashtra, however, will not give in to these anti-democratic forces. Maharashtra will once again follow the route of growth, according to Sharad Pawar.
Prior to making his public speech, Pawar paid a floral homage to his political mentor and the first chief minister of Maharashtra, Yashwantrao Chavan, at the Preeti-Sangam monument.

“Y B Chavan always held the view that ordinary folks need to be involved in our nation’s democratic process. He brought a youthful team with him and formed a new squad. He made sure that this group would advance the nation. Even though he is not here with us, he is in our thoughts, the NCP head remarked.

Meanwhile, Jayant Patil, the head of the NCP in Maharashtra, said, “We addressed a plea to the Assembly speaker last night. He should listen to us, we asked. There are 53 members of our party in the Assembly; 9 of them have left, leaving the remaining members entirely with us. We’ll give them a fair opportunity to return, but if they don’t, we’ll take legal action.
As senior leader Ajit Pawar and a number of MLAs joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the Nationalist Congress Party witnessed internal strife.

Eight more MPs from Ajit Pawar’s party also joined the National Democratic Alliance administration in the State as he took the oath to serve as deputy chief minister of Maharashtra.
Ajit Pawar said on Sunday that all MLAs were with him and had joined the Shiv Sena-BJP coalition government as a party.

“All the numbers are here. Every MLA is with me. As a group, we are present. We also alerted all older citizens. In a democracy, the majority is given priority. After taking the oath of office as Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister, Ajit Pawar remarked, “Our party is 24 years old, and youthful leadership should come up.
