Delayed ticket allocation might harm the congressional campaign: Sher Singh Ghubaya, a former MP

One of the candidates for the Congress ticket in Ferozepur, former MP Sher Singh Ghubaya, said today that the election campaign will suffer from the candidate’s announcement delay.

The son of former MP Zora Singh Mann, Nardev Singh Bobby Mann, has been awarded a ticket by SAD, while AAP has nominated its Muktsar MLA, Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar. Surinder Kamboj, the father of Jalalabad AAP MLA Jagdeep Singh Goldy Kamboj, has been fielded by the BSP. They are all currently running campaigns in the constituency.

In 2009 and 2014, Ghubaya, a SAD candidate who had won this seat twice, said, “The Congress may announce my candidature from the Ferozepur seat at any time.” I’ve discussed this matter with top executives. Nonetheless, the election campaign is being impacted by the announcement’s postponement.

In reference to the potential for someone else to get the ticket, particularly a former IPS officer, Ghubaya said, “The officer has already stated that he won’t run for office.”

Today, Ghubaya met with his advocates as well.

Similar to the Congress, the BJP has not yet disclosed who would run for Ferozepur.
